10/7-10/8: Homo Naledi & the Debate Carousel
Students read different articles about the new discovery of Homo Naledi and participated in a written debate.
9/28-10/6 Hominid Culture Infographics.
As a class we developed research questions around the topics of: Diet, Art, Evolution, and Tools & Technology. Working in small groups we created infographics using www.piktograph.com and shared and reviewed them.
9/24-9/25: Intro to Human Evolution
Using the website: www.becominghuman.org we will watch the interactive documentary and answers some questions that I have created. After watching the documentary students will have time to explore the interactive elements on the website. We will then have a class discussion.
9/16-9/22: What is Anthropology & the Anthropological Perspective
Students will be introduced to using Cornell Notes as we examine what is Anthropology and the Anthropological perspective. Students will use Cornell Notes with a lecture and PREZI.
9/15: Intro to Culture and Traditions
Using a team building exercise from NCBI students will explore: What is culture? and What are our traditions?
The Importance of Listening and Following Directions
Do you know the story of Sadako and the 1,000 cranes?
